Before we discuss what Naturopathic medicine is, it would first be prudent to define the different types of medicine. Allopathic medicine refers to what the present day Medical doctors (MD)  practice today. Osteopathic medicine is the (DO) refers to physicians who can incorporate spinal manipulation in thier treatments. Osteopaths have the same prescribing authority as thier MD counterpats. Homeopaths are doctors who use homeopathy, the science of like cures like, to treat patients.
